UNDER PRESSURE
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
So how do we take care of our mental health when the stressors aren’t going anywhere anytime soon? I think part of the answer is in getting honest with ourselves and the people around us. Naming what’s hard. Saying “I’m not okay” without shame. Creating tiny rituals that help us reset — not to escape, but to realign. And maybe most importantly, refusing to carry it all alone.
Because here’s the thing: we’re not meant to. And just like in a healthy marriage or friendship, the people around you can either help shoulder the burden or unknowingly add to it. So it matters who you surround yourself with. It matters how open you’re willing to be. And it matters that you believe things can change — not because life suddenly gets easier, but because you’re better supported.
I don’t have a five-step plan or a miracle solution. But I do have this belief that even in high-stress environments, we can find grounding. We can build resilience without hardening. We can stay soft, stay kind, stay present — if we’re intentional about what we let in, and what we let go of.
So if you’re in it right now — really in it — I see you. And I’d ask you the same thing I ask myself: who are you becoming under pressure? And is it someone you’ll be proud of when the pressure finally lifts?
